Sintra is a charming town located within the beautiful hills of the Serra. Hidden among these pine-covered hills are extravagant palaces, vast gardens, luxurious mansions and the ruins of a castle from the Moors times.

The variety of fascinating historic buildings and enchanting attractions combine to form a fantastic fairy tale environment. No doubt, Sintra deserves a day trip and a visit to this amazing city should be included in all vacation plans to the region.

National Palace of Pena - Known as Castelo de Pena, (elected one of the 7 wonders of Portugal), it represents one of the main expressions in romantic style of Europe's 19th century. The palace was enlarged from an ancient building, and served as a summer residence of the Portuguese court. Its interior collects porcelains, chandeliers and furniture from the golden ages of the Portuguese monarchy.
